2. Greater Things - You are Here
January 14, 2018 08:19 AM PST
Today Pastor Matt will continue our "Greater Things" series. Last week we studied the great things that God led our church through in the past, such as the strong and steady increase in membership and helping us to find new buildings each time leadership realized we had outgrown the buildings we were in.
Today's message is "You Are Here" and we will be looking at the church's current status, our mission, and how well we are doing with regard to the Great Commission.1. Greater Things - Where We've Been
January 07, 2018 08:33 AM PST
Today Pastor Matt will start off our new series, "Greater Things" with a message looking at "Where We've Been." We are going to trace a bit of the history of ACC, how it came to be, and determine where we want it to go in the future.
In the Bible, we see stories of "outsiders" -- those who were not part of the Jewish religion -- and how God sent Christ so those people could draw near to Him. In the same way, people who are "outsiders" now -- those without Christ -- need some sort of action on our part to help them draw near to God. There are many people in the surrounding community who need our help to know God!5. Oh What Fun - Auld Lang Syne
January 01, 2018 07:30 AM PST
Happy New Year's (Eve)!!
Today Pastor Matt will finish up our holiday series "Oh, What Fun!" with a message called Auld Lang Syne. Auld Lang Syne is the title of a song written by a man from Scotland, and the words mean "days gone by." It is about remembering friends in your life that are gone, and this song is often used not only at New Year celebrations, but at funerals too.
In the tradition of Auld Lang Syne, we will look back on the year that is closing, but also look ahead with New Year resolutions -- things that we want to improve. And Pastor Matt has the recipe for making "good" New Year resolutions into "great" New Year resolutions. Come learn how to make new HABITS in your life for the upcoming year.4. It starts with ordinary shepherds and ends with something amazing (hint--Jesus!)--and Christmas today is still filled with the same wonder. Come learn more about the wonders of Christmas!2. Oh What Fun - Gifts
December 10, 2017 08:16 AM PST
Today Pastor Chris will continue our "Oh, What Fun" holiday sermon series with a lesson called "Gifts" with the powerful message that for a gift to really be meaningful, there has to be a relationship between the giver and the recipient.
How meaningful is God's gift of Jesus? Your relationship with God shows whether that gift has meaning for you.
What can you give God in return? Listen to the message and find out!1. Oh What Fun - Deck the Halls
December 03, 2017 08:16 AM PST
Today Pastor Matt kicks off our brand-new Christmas sermon series, "Oh, What Fun!" with a message called Deck the Halls, discussing some of the symbolism of Christmas. The symbol we will learn about today is light, as he shows us how many times the concept of light is associated with Jesus. It is no coincidence that we are called to let our light shine!Divine Disappointment
November 26, 2017 08:23 AM PST
Kenny Comstock, a guest speaker from Crossroads Fellowship in Odessa, TX, brings us the message this morning. He will be teaching about how conformity breeds disappointment and how Jesus calls us to be different.6. Follow Me - A Call to Go
November 19, 2017 01:07 PM PST
Today Pastor Matt is back to continue the series "Follow Me" with a lesson titled "A Call to Go." This lesson is about the call to discipleship, how God wants us to introduce more people to Jesus and how we have to have faith and trust Him to give us the authority to do this.5. Follow Me - A Call to Live
November 12, 2017 08:15 AM PST
Today, Pastor Mack is teaching the next lesson in our "Follow Me" series, called "A Call to Live."
