1. Don't Be Fooled - The Lie of Limited Resources
March 18, 2018 08:13 AM PDT
Pastor Matt is back today with a brand new series! Today will be the first day of our "Don't Be Fooled" sermons that will focus on how we can keep Satan from playing tricks on us and lying to us. Today's message will focus on "The Lie of Limited Resources." Satan wants us to believe in the limits of this world and focus on the things we don't have so that we are never satisfied and feel like we always need more. When we believe we don't have enough, we focus on the things we want instead of focusing on God - and that's one of Satan's best tricks!
How can we put Satan back where he belongs?3. Psalm 23 - Merciful King
March 11, 2018 08:31 AM PDT
Today Pastor Chris will finish up our series on Psalm 23 with a message called "Merciful King." We will focus on the last two verses of Psalm 23 and learn how to keep Satan from sitting at the wonderful table that the Lord has prepared for us in the presence of our enemies, so that we can show the world how awesome our God is, that He gives us goodness and mercy.2. Psalm 23 - Faithful Protector
March 04, 2018 08:18 AM PST
Today Pastor Matt continues our series on Psalm 23 with a sermon about the "Faithful Protector." We will focus on the metaphor of the valley and the mountain -- what do those symbolize in our lives? How does the Good Shepherd (God) protect us?1. Psalm 23 - Good Shepherd
February 25, 2018 08:26 AM PST
Today Pastor Matt will begin our new series "Good Shepherd," where we will examine Psalm 23 in depth. Today's message will explain the metaphor of sheep in that chapter. (Hint: That's US, y'all!!) We are the sheep who need a shepherd to nourish us, guide us, and give us what is best for us. Join us to learn the benefits of belonging to God's flock.1. Generosity - The Joy of Giving
February 18, 2018 08:21 AM PST
Today Pastor Matt will be back in the pulpit with a lesson on "Generosity." He will be teaching us the connection between love and generosity (giving), and how God calls us to be generous to others and blesses us when we are generous.3. The Greatest Chapter - The Greatest Victory
February 11, 2018 08:12 AM PST
Today Pastor Chris continues the "Greatest Chapter" series with the last message, called "The Greatest Victory." He will teach us how the end of Romans 8 shows us that God's greatest sacrifice, Jesus, leads to our greatest victory even at a time when we think we will experience our greatest failure.2. The Greatest Chapter - The Greatest Hope
February 10, 2018 11:43 AM PST
Today Pastor Chris, our youth pastor, continues our current series on "The Greatest Chapter" (Romans 8) with a message called "The Greatest Hope." Where do you go to find hope? What is our greatest hope? Join us as Pastor Chris teaches us how God sends the spirit to guide us to walk in hope.1. The Greatest Chapter - The Greatest News
January 28, 2018 08:49 AM PST
Today Pastor Matt kicks off a new series called "The Greatest Chapter." Many bible scholars consider Romans 8 to be the greatest chapter in scripture, so we are going to explore it more deeply.
Today's message is "The Greatest News" and we will take an in-depth look at the news that if we belong to Jesus, we will not suffer condemnation (punishment) for our sins. Note: This does NOT mean we are free from the consequences of our sins if we break the law! It means that we are free from the worst punishment of not living with God through eternity--God will still accept us into heaven to be with Him forever.3. Greater Things - Where We're Going
January 21, 2018 08:29 AM PST
So, two weeks ago, Pastor Matt started the "Greater Things" series showing where ACC has been, tracing its history from a small group of people meeting in a home to a congregation of 360 people who bought the building we are currently in at 710 Aquahart Road. Last week, his sermon showed the present-day situation of ACC, having grown from that group of 360 to a group of ~800 people meeting as a large church about to tip into the very large category. He also discussed how the church is called to be both deep (strong roots) and wide (witnessing, getting new members), but that ACC is doing better at the width than the depth and needs to pay more attention to how to help people develop stronger roots when the church is getting so big that it's hard to get up close and personal.
This week, he will share "Where We're Going," the vision for the future.2. Greater Things - You are Here
January 14, 2018 08:19 AM PST
Today Pastor Matt will continue our "Greater Things" series. Last week we studied the great things that God led our church through in the past, such as the strong and steady increase in membership and helping us to find new buildings each time leadership realized we had outgrown the buildings we were in.
Today's message is "You Are Here" and we will be looking at the church's current status, our mission, and how well we are doing with regard to the Great Commission.
